Whether cleaning sewers, delivering post, cleaning streets, cooking and serving food, caring for the sick or transporting people, these tasks are carried out every day by individuals who are hardly visible, yet extremely selfless and valuable, and who perform their duties conscientiously. Yet they receive little attention, honour or remuneration. This section of the population deserves more attention and appropriate conditions. Healthcare, services and construction, etc.; all those sectors of the economy which, to put it bluntly, "keep the wheels turning" are underappreciated! The "backBone" project aims to counteract this and bring this section of the population more into focus.
